JIMMY DEAN MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL- RULES & REGULATIONS

The JDMAF strives to provide a high quality event for patrons, volunteers and vendors alike. The following rules and guidelines have been put in place to create a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all; please read them carefully so that you will be fully informed.

 

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE PROCEDURE

  • Arrival and setup begins at 6:00 AM on the day of the festival.

  • Upon arrival vendors will check-in at the southeast corner of Ferguson Hall to receive your spot and vendor ID badge(s).  [See Map]

  • Vendors need to be set up and ready to do business by 9:00 AM.

  • Vendors may begin clearing their areas between 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM or after the last performance.

 

VENDOR UNLOADING AND PARKING

  • Vendors may unload their items from 6:00 - 7:45 AM by going west on Jimmy Dean Ave. (8th Street) from Quincy. [See Map]

  • Vendors will park in the south lot of the McClung University Center.

 

VENDOR SPACE & TABLES

  • All retail vendor spaces are 12’ x 12’ and food truck spaces are 36’ (4 parking spaces).

  • Vendors are required to bring their own setups (tents, tables, chairs, electricity, etc…)

  • All signage and vendor items must stay within their assigned footprint.

 

VENDOR GARBAGE AND CLEANUP

  • Vendors are required to clean up their spaces at the end of the event. All garbage shall be disposed of in the appropriate dumpster. Blue dumpsters are for recycled cardboard boxes. All boxes must be broken down and flattened prior to disposal.

 

LICENCES & PERMITS

  • Vendors must provide all permits and tax certificates according to Texas State Law as applicable and they must be displayed in your booth during business hours.

  • Food vendors must pay for and complete a City of Plainview temporary food vendor permit. You will find that form in the vendor section at https://www.jimmydeanmuseum.com/city-food-permit .

 

 

 

 

 NON-ALLOWABLE MERCHANDISE ITEMS

Vendors are unable to sell the following items:

  • Alcohol

  • Firearms or weapons (guns, ammo, knives, swords, etc…)

  • Tobacco or tobacco products

 

WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY

  • JDMAF is a rain or shine event. We will not cancel the festival due to weather unless we determine that it will be unsafe for vendors and attendees. Vendors will forfeit their vendor fees if they choose not to participate because of weather. Vendor fees will be applied to the next festival if the festival does not open because of unsafe weather conditions.

 

LIABILITY

  • Jimmy Dean Music and Arts Festival or anyone affiliated with Wayland Baptist University will not be held responsible or liable for accidents, injuries or the loss or damage of goods.

SECURITY

  • Security will be on-site to help with the safety of our patrons, volunteers and vendors.
